My creative response to the early months of the pandemic was to focus on the subtlety and sensitivity of blind embossing in combination with a process called chine collé which bonds a thinner Japanese paper to the main printmaking paper.

The ‘Evanescence’ title references the loss, fragility and uncertainty I felt, along with the quiet beauty of some of my experiences during early lockdown.
